Training for me is all about intensities and volume, I’m a born motivator and I will find the formula to achieve the best results with my clients.
I am familiar with many forms of different training techniques, not only designed to stimulate muscle fibers but your mind too. I like switching training techniques, for excitement and variety. I keep the human body guessing and adapting, to assure progression.
Boxing and functional training is my passion, combine that with my strength and conditioning knowledge, and I can push your performance, sculpt your body and make every minute of your time spent in the gym productive.
I was an Amateur Boxer in the Southern region for seven years. I now pass on my skills and passion as an ABA Boxing Coach. My exercise foundation in one of the most vigorous of sports has provided me with the attitude of “no limits”. I fully understand what is needed to push the body beyond its usual capabilities to attain performance goals. During my ten years of Personal Training, I have experience working with figure competition models, professional boxers and I have delivered years of exercise physiology lectures to BTEC and A Level students at Queen Marys College, Basingstoke, Richard Tauntons College, Southampton and Southampton City College.

Additional to my full time management position and personal training, I am a qualified Post Compulsory Exercise Physiology Teacher with two years experience at Queen Marys College, Basingstoke and two Southampton based Colleges. I now use these skills delivering First Aid Courses to various other fitness centers around the region.

Experience:
Whilst studying at university I have gained many valuable experiences such as working with athletes on conditioning programmes to improve at their sport, older adults training including medical referrals and a lot of experience massaging a variety of clients. This is just a few of the clients I have worked with in the 3 years of doing my degree and believe I have got a large enough skill set to suit most people’s needs.
I have worked at Pound for Pound now for 2 years not only boxing for the university out of this great gym but having the privilege to coach some top level amateur athletes and learn my trade as an amateur boxing coach. This has led to me being the current owner of Fighting to Fit Ltd which provides personal training, large coaching sessions and rehabilitation from injury.
Boxing Experience:
I started off my amateur boxing career at a small club called Horsham ABC, since walking into the gym 6 years ago I have fallen in love with the sport and never looked back. In my 6 years of competing I boxed in the amateur boxing championships, represented my county and boxed abroad in Germany. The experience that really sticks out in my mind is boxing for Solent Uni/Pound for Pound at Horsham ABC’s Home show, which was my first fight for Steve in which I won a close decision. Boxing has really shaped who I am today and I am so lucky to be able to pass that passion over to my clients and people around me. I gained my level 2 ABA award in November 2015 and haven’t looked back since.
